Runners:
Bob, Ben, Joe(me)
Bob and Joe ran an early loop at 6:30. There was 20 mph winds with gusts up to 35 mph. Temperature was around 35 degrees. We ran the reserve loop first. Wind was in our face on the way out. We did not really feel it on the way back.
We picked up Ben for the second loop. We ran the normal loop. The wind was not as bad going out because of the trees. We had a good push coming back. This was the better way to run.
Bob and Joe (me) ran about 7 miles in 56:00 minutes. About an 8 min/mile pace.
Coffee:
Bob, Ben, Eric, Joe (me) went to Limestone. Eric joined us after working out at a nearby place.
Bob bought today (with senior discount).

Whiskey Run.
This is are annual whiskey run. I bring a shot of whiskey for everyone before our run. The temperature was - 9 today. The shot was small, no one complained. It is more about the idea than the whiskey. We had a good turn out.
Joe, Eric, Bob, Josh, Nate, Eric, and Kenton ran. Kenton was a first time runner. Joe, Eric, Bob, and Josh lead the way. We ended up running on the fox river for about a mile, since it was frozen.
Lead groups time and distance:
3.15 miles
27:29.7
8:43/mile
Everyone but Joe (hot chocolate) enjoyed coffee after the run.

300 achieved
It took some forced running the last week of August, but I was able to pass 300 miles during Jun, July and August. I am proud of the running, As I get older, even on y a couple of years, I am finding that recovery time is not the same as it once was. Although I would still consider myself healthy and in good shape, I am not what I was 5 years ago.

Quest for 300 miles
After running only 52 miles in June, July started off a little slow. I only ran 17 miles in the first week. However, during the last 5 days I have run 30 miles already. I have run 8 miles twice and ran 12 miles today on my own. I also ran 2 miles, 1 with each child today. I need to make up for those lost miles in June.

300 Miles
The main core of the running group has aspired to each run 300 miles this summer. That is an average of 100 miles per month for June, July and August. Hopefully, this will be more successful than 2016 in 2016.
